PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor / Personal Home Page) is a programming language with a syntax based on C. According to w3techs, PHP is with almost 80% the most widespread server-side programming language of websites on the Internet. With PHP you can develop e.g. CMS, PIM, APIs or shop systems. With the release PHP 8, the JIT (Just In Time) compiler was introduced, which results in an enormous performance gain.
